HW due 10/6: Poetry Explication

Tonight, print and read through this handout on poetry explications. In order for us to move even more into the “heart” we must have control of the “mind.” This involved understanding poetry explications, so read closely.

Also, if you and your group have a school of poetry that you would like to explore (I am not guaranteeing that you will be able to), let me know tomorrow.

HW due 10/6: The Precis

This week we will write our first précis. This requires that you have at least Control of the source article. In this case, our source is That Individual. Print out and read the précis detail sheet TONIGHT. Then, outline (in your notebook) the most important points raised in That Individual.
