HW due 1/27: Poetry Portfolio Posting on Class Forum

1. Wednesday, Jan. 27th, you will post the following poems to the class forum. So gather them and prepare them for posting:

  • An Emotion
  • Villanelle
  • Confessional
  • Elegy
  • Activist (Harlem Ren)
  • Modernist Gratitude
  • Imagist
  • Beat
  • Spoken Word
  • Essence
  • High School

Please label each poem (i.e. #1 An Emotion, #2 Villanelle, etc.) and include a title if titled. Leave a couple of spaces between each poem as well. This MUST posted by 3 p.m. Wednesday to receive credit.

Another term has come and gone. Seven chapters of your high school experience have been written; you have one to go! Live fully in this final chapter. Don’t wish it away… In the end, leave Beacon a bit better because you were here; leave the landscapes of the lives you grace in peace and happiness; and be grateful.

Thank you dearly for a great term. I was touched by your heart and wisdom. I was honored to teach you and I am proud to know you.

HW due 1/25: Term Final and Thank You

1. Term Final–Final Drafts are due Monday by 3 p.m. You can either place your final draft AND EDITED FIRST DRAFT in my mail box or hand them to me. DO NOT staple the two drafts together; rather, paperclip them together. Be sure to pay attention to the little things!

2. The Trial–Turn in your copy of The Trial so that I may grade your annotations. If you do not, I will be forced to give you a zero. Write your name inside the front cover. NOTE: A small number of your wrote in school copies which means I cannot use them next term. Please buy a replacement copy. The copy you annotated in will be yours.

3. Steppenwolf–Please return school copies this week! I also need them for next term. If you wrote in a school copy, please purchase a replacement. Thank you! You’re the best!
